Sweet Talk: Why We Stick With the Real Stuff š°

Letās talk sugar, friends ā the sweet, sparkly, mood-lifting kind that makes coffee cake mornings and brownie afternoons worth celebrating.
A spoonful of honesty (and empathy):
We get it ā many of our friends, family, and fans need to watch their sugar intake. We see you, and we respect that. Itās one of the reasons we make thoughtfully portioned treats, like our two-bite browniesĀ and COMING SOON our coffee cake bites. Each one delivers the happiness you deserve without the overload ā because responsible indulgence shouldnāt mean flavorless, chemical-laden compromise.
At Steinerās, we believe Mother Nature got it right (just like our mom).Ā She doesnāt need a lab coat or a chemistry degree to make something that brings pure happiness in every bite. Funny enough our mom was a science teacher. Back to the story...thatās why we use real sugar ā never artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, or mystery blendsĀ that sound like they belong in a science fair instead of your dessert.
Hereās the thing:
Could we save a few pennies by using chemical substitutes? Sure.
Would it taste the same?Ā Not a chance.
Real sugar caramelizes, browns, and balances flavor in ways that fake stuff just canāt. It gives our coffee cakes that golden, delicate crust and keeps our brownies rich, fudgy, and unapologetically delicious. Plus, your body actually recognizes it ā itās real food, not a lab project.
Why we donāt fake sweet:
Those āzero sugarā and ānatural alternativeā sweeteners might sound tempting, but many are ultra-processed or leave that strange aftertaste that lingers like a bad breakup. Weād rather keep things simple, honest, and full of smiles ā just like our mom taught us when she started perfecting our recipes back in 1985.
So no shortcuts here. No ālow thisā or āsub that.ā Just real ingredients, real sugar, real happiness.Ā Because dessert shouldnāt come with a side of confusion ā it should come with a smile (and maybe a little chocolate on your chin).
Bake Like a Super Hero. Eat Like One Too.
At Steinerās, we donāt apologize for sweetness ā we portion it with purposeĀ and celebrate it with smiles.Ā Mother Nature gave us sugar, and weāre not about to mess with perfection.
Whisk. Smile. Repeat. š
